Junior Explorer Cruise
Where the Wild Things Are...
Fun-filled cruise with Wild Dolphin Foundation biologists, a great way for kids to have a close encounter of the finned kind.

"Malama Kekahi i Kekahi" - Take Care of Each Other
Excite, Empower, Explore: reconnecting children to nature, forming favorite family memories for years to come. Whether you're a mama or a papa (or just lookin' to entertain some wee ones for the afternoon), it's time to get those little whippersnappers unglued from their iPads with kid tested, Wild Side approved activities. Explore Hawai'i's amazing reefs in a safe and eco-friendly reef snorkel. Swim with experienced naturalists who unlock the hidden secrets of the beautiful coastline and show you critters you never knew existed.
Did you know that dolphins sleep using only 1/2 of their brain at a time? Parrotfish spend the night inside individual mucous cocoons? And Hawaii's cookie cutter shark, only a couple of feet long, has the biggest teeth size to body ratio of any shark in the ocean? Actively participate in hands-on topics including marine ecology and conservation, human impacts on the ocean, and Hawaii's rich ocean heritage and traditions. Give back to the communities you visit.
Experience how dolphins use biosonar – echolocation — to "see" the world around them. We'll find out just how they are able to retrieve, receive and process that sound once it is broadcast.
Learn how to identify fish families at the reef, similar to our Wild Side Coral Reef'ers outings, and how to tell not only one green sea turtle from another, but to identify threats to their Hawaiian habitats, and the importance of Hawaii's and all ocean health.
E ao kakou! Let's get educated and help to preserve Hawai`i.Tackling marine conservation must be done not only by top-down governmental policy changes, but also by bottom-up education and awareness.
