We Don't Think Your Vacation Should Be Mass Produced
Kayaking Tours are no longer available as of 3/25/03,
boat charters have proven much more
productive for seeing the wildlife. Descriptive information below
describes the areas the boat also visits.
Come to an area free of mainstream tourism. Experience a true
island adventure with local naturalists. Private outings are geared to your skill or
activity level, or half day and full day rentals are available for this coastline. For
those not inclined to snorkel, or don't want to miss a thing, we have added a glassbottom
kayak to our fleet.
Our guided
kayaking trips leave the beach around 7:30 am. The amount of ground we cover is up to you
(unless you're super buff and we cant keep up with you... for that we have kayak rentals
:-). Our motto is "The fun is in the journey" or "Stop and smell the ocean
air" or something along that line. There are always things to stop and look at or
talk about, Hawaiian style, no hurry. As far as when we return again, that is up to you.
If you want to see dolphins, then we focus on that, if you want to see turtles, eagle
rays, coral, tropical fish . . . whatever, or just paddle around and look at scenery, no
rules.
Sites:
We
all meet at the beach of your interest, either a) Makaha International
Surfing Beach - calm and serene during the summer months, a long
sandy beach bordered by beachfront homes, recently voted most popular
Hawaiian dive site
by Diver magazine for its caverns, and green sea turtles. or. b) A
special secluded site of cultural and spiritual significance, resting
spinner dolphins
are frequently found over the sandy bottom here and while coral reefs
and interesting underwater pinnacles border the beach.

From any of these beaches, the "Green Flash (a fleeting spot of intense
green light on the horizon an instant after sunset)" can be seen at sunset if its
absolutely clear all the way to the horizon.
