Hot Hawaiian Nights - Star Treks
Romance
and Culture; Stargazing, Full Moons, Sunsets and Meteor Showers; Skip to Basic Facts

Novel way to spend a birthday, honeymoon, or romantic anniversary.
On dark (moonless) nights, Mother Nature blesses us with
her boundless beauty. She puts on a show for the leeward shore that
includes views of constellations, the Milky Way, other galaxies, planets,
and seasonal meteor showers. There is nothing more tranquil and romantic
than a Hawaii sunset sail. On our Hawaii sailing sunset tour, enjoy
the soft symphony of hues painting a Hawaii sunset. Unwind, re-invigorate,
and catch a kiss or two on the Pacific.
On the ocean, Hawaii's night skies are prime viewing grounds
for stargazing, lacking light and air pollution, fog and frost! Guests
enjoy these phenomena sailing the open sea with the breeze in their
face and the lapping of water on the hull.
Whale's Tails and Sunset Sails (Mid. Dec - April)
Hawaiian
"winter" is humpback whale season,
and dolphins grace us with their
presence year around. If the spirits cooperate, we may have the opportunity
to be visited by one or both of these Hawaiian
marine species. The boat departs a an hour and a half before sunset
for added daylight hours and longer whale watching. Romantic and serene
on private 42 ft. catamaran, limited seats (6 -16 passengers)and wholesome
dinner included. Early bookings are recommended. Full moon or moonless
nights only (see calendars below).

We agree that the full moon's shining path on the ocean
is definitely one of planet earth's greatest gifts. Setting sail an
hour before sunset will give us time to experience the full range
of hues in the sunset. We can then relax and enjoy the cosmic process
painting the sky.
Sometimes, we'll see the colors darken and fade to velvet
black and experience a period of skies lit only by the extravagance
of thousands of stars, (you can actually see them twinkle). Before
long, the full moon will be rearing its majestic head over the mountain
range lighting the waters around us. Other nights, the moon may be
rising as the sun sets.
During our three hour voyage, we are happy to share our
knowledge with you on topics including; ancient Polynesian voyaging
and celestial navigation, astronomy, whale and dolphin behavior, sea
lore and local legends.
To our knowledge, we are the only ones offering these trips
anywhere . . . They evolved from our love of ocean, the sky and the
marine life that share this planet with us. If you love clean air,
brisk sailing, night skies and the critters that live in the liquid
world, you will not be disappointed.

Dare to do something REALLY scary? Haunted Hawaii... A day and night of local intrigue (terror)...
The Southern
Cross is visible late April through early July.
There are "shooting
stars" all summer long....
Sailing
into the multicolored sunsets the Hawaiian Islands are famous for, we'll
first cruise past Kuilioloa Heiau. Significant for many cultural reasons
(some believe it to be the true third point of the Polynesian triangle),
it is also the sacred teaching grounds of ancient Polynesian navigation.
As the sunset dissolves into starlit night, we will be leaving
our coastline beacons for deeper waters and Oahu's prime location
for stargazing (buffet dinner on the way). If game, we have a laser
beam onboard to point out equatorial constellations or other interesting
celestial sights. However if you just want to relax and do your own
romantic star dreaming, that's fine too! Feel free to bring a bottle
of wine or champagne with you to celebrate the special person in your
life.
The abundance of the astral bodies revealed to us makes
it sometimes difficult to pick out common constellations . . . We
invite you, if you are so inclined, to take this as a personal challenge.
Once at sea, we may encounter feeding dolphins playfully
riding the bow. Or, if we are real fortunate, we might enjoy a visit
from seasonal whales attracted to our mutually intelligent company.
However, if its whale or dolphin watching
you particularly desire, please look into our morning wildlife charters,
as the night charters are, well... dark for part for part of the time
anyhow!

Meteor Showers - Click title to the left for information on upcoming
meteor shower cruises on peak dates and times.
For night charters, we recommend light jackets, and maybe
long pants, socks and a favorite blankie :-) The night temperature
averages in the mid '70s, but it may get chilly out on the water.
Dinner
menus are subject to change depending on the amount of people onboard.
Typically, we serve a chicken/shrimp stir-fry, a mix of rice, tossed
baby green salad, and gourmet bread. It all depends
on the cook's mood and what's in the pantry!
For $99 per person, we will put you on a 3 hour semi-private
sailing charter. Click
